Chad and I have been very lucky to have a wonderful "sitter" for Reagan. She is the only one "Mrs. Rebecca" keeps and as a new Mommy it made the transition of going back to work SO much easier. You know she's happy when you drop her off and she's smiling and when you pick her up she's talking and cooing. Chad and I talked a lot over Christmas break about what we were going to do next year. We knew it was time to face putting our sweet girl in daycare. Just like every parent, we want what's best for her and we know being around other babies and kids will be good for her.
So on MLK Jr. Day, we decided to tour a daycare some close friends use. We called before going to make sure they were open. The director told us to come on by anytime. First, good feeling. When we got there, we were welcomed by the director and Reagan quickly warmed up to her. Another good feeling. We first went in the baby room. We put Reagan on the floor with the other babies and she had a blast. It was great to see her interacting with other babies. We walked around the rest of the daycare and we couldn't help but feel at home. we liked it so much we put a deposit down so we could hold a spot for her for next school year. We were thrilled that Reagan and Maddie (3 weeks apart) would go to "preschool" together!
Of course I was so excited I shared the news and my co-worker decided to check it out for her baby "LG" (11 days apart). It is so exciting to think about Reagan growing up with Maddie and "LG"! We are so glad this big decision worked out perfectly.
Reagan had her first big playdate today at the library, "Itty Bitty Bookworms". She had so much fun playing with Ellie and "LG". And us Moms did too! :)
Interacting with other babies is a new stage for Reagan. It is so much fun to watch!
