West Hartsville Baptist Church Shower

Four special women from West Hartsville Baptist Church threw a shower for our little Reagan yesterday.  Mamma, Mrs. Mary, Mrs. Sue, and Mrs. Johnna have been so special to me through the years.  They have always greeted me with a hug when I came home for holidays and weekends.  Their hard work and time made Chad and I feel so loved yesterday.  Not only did they make us feel special, but we were so blessed because so many wonderful friends and family came to the shower.  Chad and I were blown away with the love and support shown by everyone! Thanks so much for everthing!

34 weeks

How big is the baby-  she weighs about 4 3/4 pounds. She is the size of a cantaloupe! And she is almost 19 inches long. We have finally reached the "safe zone." Babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.

Weight gain? So far I have gained around 20 pounds.

Stretch Marks? I don't see any.  My belly itches a WHOLE lot, but still no stretch marks.

Maternity Clothes? LOVE them!

Best Moment of the Week? 2 things- (1)The Children's School Baby Shower.  What a great group to work with!  I'm so thankful for each one of them! (2) Maternity Pictures, we had such a great time capturing such a special moment!

Food Cravings? Watermelon-each weekend, we buy a watermelon and I love it!

Name? sweet little Reagan

Sleep?   It's been very hard to get comfortable at night.  I use a body pillow, but it takes up 1/2 of Chad's side of the bed.  He says he doesn't mind, but I feel bad.  Poor thing!

Movement? she moves a lot! I'm starting to see her her hand go across my stomach during some of the movements.

What I Miss? putting on pants, shorts, etc without getting out of breath, losing my balance, and grunting from the awkward position.

The Children's School Faculty Shower

On Tuesday, May 17th my fabulous co-workers held a baby shower for sweet Reagan.  Throughout the past 8 months, my co-workers have been so supportive, by asking me about how I am feeling, checking to see how my appointments are going, etc.  I am so thankful to have been working at a school with such a family-like atmosphere.  They made Chad and I feel so loved! Here are some pictures from the special shower!

Baby Chad and Page

Here are some pictures of Chad and I from 3 months and 6 months.  We have seen the 3D ultrasound pictures of Reagan, but we can't wait to see her once she arrives.  We are looking forward to seeing what traits she gets from each one of us.

Last Graduation for a while....

My youngest cousin, Keller, graduated on Saturday from USC with a degree in Early Childhood Education.  The past 7 years, I've been to at least one graduation each year (sometimes my own).  It's so hard for me to believe that Keller is graduating from college already.  She is pictured with her sister, Courtney.  These two girls are some of the sweetest, strongest, most down to earth people you will ever meet.  They are both as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside.  With me being the oldest grandchild, I've watched my cousins grow up.  I love them both dearly and know their parents are so proud of them!

32 weeks

How far along? 32 weeks

How big is the baby? She's starting to get ready for her big debut, tipping the scales at almost four pounds and topping out at just about 19 inches.

Weight gain? still about a pound a week.
Stretch marks? not any right now :)

Maternity clothes? I've started wearing Chad's t-shirts to bed because they are more comfortable that my shirts are these days

Sleep?  I'm in the bed watching tv at 7:30, usually asleep by 9:30.  I am getting a lot of sleep to prepare for the no sleep weeks when she comes.

Best Moment of the week? visiting my parents over the weekend.  I got to catch up with them and even got to visit my good friend, Blair while I was home.
Cravings?  I've had a lot these days: watermelon, salty snacks like Chex Mix

Movement?  I swear she is doing gymnastics at night.  I love it though!

What am I looking forward to? my cousin Keller's college graduation on Saturday.

What I miss?  Today is Cinco de Mayo.  I miss having a margarita at El Cancun to celebrate the day.

Fun fact? She has been able to suck her thumb for quite some time now.  Chad sucked his thumb so much in utero, that he has a bump on his tongue from it.
